Best of both worlds…

With the Cadence adaptive project management philosophy, this Hybrid PM training provides a practical, hands-on training for those who would like to add skills to their professional background, who are working in a mix of agile and classic project teams and who are searching for a solid foundation and understanding of both project management approaches.

The world of projects and project management has changed by adding Agile approaches to the toolkit of project managers and teams. In most companies nowadays both worlds of predictive (classic) project management and agile or iterative methodologies are being used in conjunction, because there is not just one way to run projects – it depends on the project context which approach delivers the best value or is the most effective.

In the Cadence Hybrid Project Management methodology course we have combined the best of both worlds for a multi-project environment, where Scrum is a standard for agile, and Cadence PM is leading in predictive project management. This so called ‘hybrid’ approach allows agile development teams and business teams to work in concert in a hybrid project environment.

Participants will be familiarized with Agile principles, tools and teamwork, combined with a flexible, predictive project management approach. As with all Cadence trainings our approach is as practical and simple as possible, because projects tend to be complex enough. Participants will be working on their own projects during class, in teams, for getting the best transition from theory to real life application. Since teamwork is crucial for the success of any project, the focus of the training will be both on tools & techniques and on team development.

Participants are actively involved in class through team workshops, exercises and group discussions. They apply the tools and techniques immediately to workplace projects and issues. Participating in team building workshops, using proven tools and techniques that can be applied to any project.

The Cadence Hybrid Project Management Course content is both aligned with the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) of PMI® and adaptive to current Agile best practices.

What distinguishes Cadence from others: a methodology (‘how to…’) which is scalable, adaptive to other approaches, action based, practical, flexible, instantly ready to use.

This course is part of the Hybrid Project Management (HPM) Series of training courses offered by Cadence. As with all Cadence offerings, the course format emphasizes practical and straightforward techniques to facilitate retention and immediate application after the seminar.
