Leading project teams requires specific skills. Project Team Coaching helps the project manager dealing with team issues at key moments during the life cycle of a project. With Project Team Coaching is based upon the solid and proven Cadence project management methodology, a project team will be supported to strengthen their team spirit by achieving faster and better project performance.

Objective

Project managers are expected creating the right conditions to optimize the work of their project team. They manage the project results by managing cost, schedule and performance, by motivating and leading the project team, by using a structured project management approach, people skills and tools. The success of project teams depends on composition, teamwork, available knowledge and skills of team members, and those factors are manageable. Project Team Coaching supports project managers and their core teams in organizing and leading projects, applying the best practices, during project startups, project planning, crash recovery, reviews and project close outs. The project team coach provides for a sounding board, stability and reduces uncertainty. The main goal is: getting projects done.

Focus

Project Team Coaching starts with listing to the needs, issues and demands of the project manager and his project team. The current project will be assessed to determine the project status and the expectations of the project sponsor(s). Anything that helps to make the project successful, within constraints, will be taken into account. During the coaching sessions the teamcoach will help the team and individual team members if needed, to work on a structured method on processes, phases, roles, responsibilities and authority, communications, risk, cost and schedule.
