Six Sigma Green Belt – hybride omgeving

Six Sigma Green Belts are often part-time professionals with a variety of duties, including assisting on Black Belt projects and leading smaller projects. They are trained in problem-solving techniques and the tenets of the DMAIC project model. When involved in Black Belt projects, their duties include gathering data, executing experiments, and analyzing information. Their work on smaller, focused Six Sigma projects allows them to devote less time than the Black Belt’s full-time commitment. Their knowledge of statistical experimental design is not usually as robust as that of Black Belts, so they may require assistance in identifying causes of process failures.

Responsibilities
The Green Belt has several important responsibilities. Green Belts typically lead data collection efforts and validate the measurement system on their project teams. They also help improve team function and dynamics by using facilitation skills and leading brainstorming sessions.

As ambassadors of promoting Six Sigma throughout the organization, they:

  • Use graphs to show process improvement in highly visible and easily understood visual forms
  • Create a communication plan to convey accurate information about the project to leadership and other stakeholders
  • Promote data-driven solutions rather than subjective conjecture.
