The Cadence Product Owner course helps product owners and their Scrum teams to effectively apply Scrum to the projects they undertake.

When the project context of your department or company is better served by using agile techniques instead of predictive project management methods, learning a thourough Scrum methodology will help team members to get the best out of their efforts and deliver the highest value to the business.

The Cadence Scrum Product Owner methodology course provides the tools you need to perform the best you can in your role as a Product Owner. A robust methodology you can trust, presented in a very practical way, while working on your own projects in class provides hands-on tools and techniques. This is a methodology course (‘How to..’), not an exam prep course.

Course Overview

Product Owners have a crucial role in the Scrum process: he represents the interests of the stakeholder community to the Scrum Team, he is the voice of the customer. He is responsible for ensuring clear communication of product or service functionality requirements to the Scrum Team, defining Acceptance Criteria, and ensuring those criteria are met. The Product Owner is responsible for the Scrum Team to deliver value. He works closely together with the Scrum Master and his Scrum Team: they work in concert with clients, users and stakeholders.

In this 2-days course participants will be familiarized with all Scrum principles, tools and team work. As with all Cadence trainings our approach is as practical and simple as possible, because projects tend to be complex enough. Participants will be working on their own projects during class, in teams, for getting the best transition from theory to real life application. Since teamwork is crucial for the success of Scrum projects, the focus of the training will be both on Scrum techniques and on team development.
